Hi! My name is Kayla Hurst! I have been working in the dog industry since 2015, when I got home from basic training. I started working in dog kennels, taking care of clients pets while they were away on vacation. I learned quickly that dogs were my passion, I started studying dog body language, behavior, following famous trainers online. I started putting the training I was learning into my personal dogs and in 2017 I got hired on to become a professional trainer! I learned so much more and grew on how to help people train their dogs. I learned that teaching people to grow with their pets is something I love doing. Since then I have been training pet dogs, service dogs, and sport dogs! I have 3 dogs of my own, my oldest dog is Louis who is a 9 year old pit mix. Then a 5 year old Dutch shepherd, Wally and 1.5 year old German shepherd, Chaos. Wally and Chaos are working dogs and we train for PSA (Protection Sport Association). Wally is the dog that taught me so much about the working dog industry and Chaos is trialing prepping for the Level 1’s.

If I’m not training dogs I’m spending time with my son, boyfriend or friends. But mostly we are always with the dogs.
